Where To Start…
We at Kingfisher Log Homes understand that building your dream home can be an exciting, yet stressful time. To get started we would suggest the following;
- Choose a plan by searching the internet, magazines and plan books;
- Submit a rough sketch with general instructions to us;
- We can then create a custom plan with our draftsman for your approval;
- Once we have your building plan we can provide you with a quote.
Our quotes will include the cost of the following:
- Constructed log work according to building plans;
- Insulation for log walls;
- All window blazing cut and ground;
- Stained finish product (purchaser to pay for the cost of the stain);
- Drill holes for through bolts and electrical boxes;
- House disassembled and reconstructed on your site;
Our quotes do not include the following:
- Transportation (trucking and crane costs for set up);
- Stain;
- Log stair and hand railings;
- Foundation;
- Subfloor;
- Windows and Doors;
- Roof covering;
- Plumbing, heating and electrical;
- Cabinetry;
- Flooring;
- Exterior and Interior finishing;
The cost of building a log home can vary drastically depending on the size of the home and the finishing products you choose. A log cabin can be finished for approximately $70,000.00. The cost of finishing your average family home would be approximately $250,000.00.
